On 14 December, 2017, the Governor of Iwate Prefecture, Japan and a delegation of 14 persons met the TTAA Board of Directors to discuss about tourism routes of Iwate Prefecture. The meeting was held in the 30th Anniversary TTAA Meeting Room.
The TTAA Board of Directors participated in welcoming H.E. Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sports, on the occasion of taking up his duties as minister on Friday, 1 December, 2017. The event was held at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
During 5-9 November, 2017, the TTAA President, Board of Directors and members participated in surveying tourism routes that link the Thai border provinces of Ubon Ratchathani and Yasothon with the CLMV country of Laos PDR. at Pakse. This resulted in exchanges of opinions, experiences, business discussions and created mutual tourism business relations.
On 8 November, 2017, 4 tourism representatives from Suining, Sichuan province, PR. China met the TTAA President, the Board of Directors and advisors of the Chinese tourism market for advice on tourism attractions and accommodation. This event was held in the 30th Anniversary TTAA Meeting Room.
During 29-31 October, 2017, the TTAA President and the Board of Directors participated in the inaugural flight of Bangkok-Phú Quốc-Bangkok (BKK-PQC-BKK) of Bangkok Airways that had opened a new route from Bangkok to Phú Quốc, Vietnam (4 flights/week). This will operate as from 29 October, 2017, onwards.
On 25 October, 2017, the TTAA President welcomed a delegation of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Perak Chapter 16 and 10 local tour operators at the Legend Chiang Rai who had travelled to Thailand to survey the tourism routes and facilities of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai during 22-27 October,2017.
On Monday, 16 October, 2017, the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with the Board of Trade of Thailand organized the 2017 Best Trade Association Awards presentation ceremony.
