TTAA held discussions with the Embassy of Sri Lanka regarding collaboration on developing joint Buddhist pilgrimage tour packages to promote key cultural destinations in both countries
On 26 November 2025, Mr.Charoen Wangananont, President of the Association, assigned Mr.Viboon Kamontho (Vice President), Mr.Sitthichai Udomkitthanakul (Vice President), Dr. Kriangphon Piyaekchai (Vice President), Mrs.Bousarin Kugasemrat (Treasurer), Mr.Nirut Charoenpradit (Liaison), Mrs. Preeya Kalong (Committee), Mr.Natouchphong Aisi (Committee), Mr.Chattrin Pientam (Committee), and Mr.Sirapat Wichaisuchard (Committee) of the Thai Travel Agents Association to hold discussions with H.E. Mrs. E.A.S Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, (Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka), Mrs. Shiwanthi Abeyrathne (Minister Counselor – Commercial), Mr. T.M.J.W. Thennakoon (Additional Secretary – Administrative, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Miss Nethra Keerthisena (Secretary), and Ms. Nahathai Wendy Maetheenoppawut (Information Assistant) to coordinate cooperation in the development of joint Buddhist pilgrimage tour packages to promote significant cultural destinations in both countries, the design and implementation of training programs for tour guides and tourism professionals, as well as the establishment of cross-border Buddhist pilgrimage routes to enhance people-to-people relations and improve service quality and cultural knowledge. The meeting was held at The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam.
